South Korea Four Rivers Self Supported Bike Tour

Created: June 29, 2025

Hello, 67 year old male looking for companions in cycling the Four Rivers bike paths in South Korea for 4-5 weeks starting in April of 2026. This includes the cross country route from Incheon to Busan (393 miles), as well as, the Oncheon and Geumgang bike paths (155 miles) and the Seomjingang and Yeongsangang bike paths (175 miles). Flying into and out of Seoul and using buses to get to the non contiguous paths. I have done extended bike tours in the United States and Europe, but have never been to Asia. This is a self supported tour with options to camp and stay in inexpensive lodging. Average 50 miles per day with some days off. I’ve heard that South Korea has modern bike infrastructure along these routes.

Europe

Eastern Europe in 2026

Created: August 11, 2025

I hope to take a multi-week trip from Krakow to Vienna (or alternatively through Romania) sometime in April or May of 2026. Departure from Washington-Dulles. A leisurely 45 miles a day and a total of 400-600 miles through Poland, Slovakia, Czechia and Austria. Train travel involved and time off to visit a few larger cities of interest, as well as Auschwitz-Birkenau. Overnights in pensions, B&Bs and small family-run hotels. I’ve taken multiple self-planned trips throughout Europe, a bit in North Africa and the Middle East, as well as in North America. I’m looking for one other intrepid road cyclist, M/F age 40+, to join me for the adventure. Self-contained touring experience, a sociable demeanor, a flexible, positive spirit, intelligent conversation and a sense of humor highly desirable. Interests: mingling with the locals, historic sites, mountain scenery, photography, languages and the cultures and cuisine of those countries.

Northern California and beyond

Created: June 12, 2025

56 year old male in the Sacramento area looking for touring partners. I’ve done a few short trips around Joshua Tree, Carrizo Plains and trans Sierra. Open to just about anything, but ultimate goal is to do longer tours in the West, S. America & Asia. My setup is more touring than bikepacking but I’m off-road ready.
I work and am married but have supportive boss and spouse, so I can easily schedule time for riding.

Companion for several day ride in WI or Southern California

Created: June 6, 2025

69 male retired physician / minimally disabled and bored male seeks companion(s) for “mini tours” preferably in southern California or Wisconsin though open to other possibilities. I live in Chicago but frequent the San Diego area. I have ridden from Santa Monica to San Diego (and back) a couple of times, and from San Francisco to Costa Mesa years back and would love to do it again. Perhaps from Santa Barbara to San Diego? Prefer not to camp. Also, I have mapped out a route for a several day loop in Wisconsin on gravel which looks good on paper. Not interested in speed even if I am “type A” as a few stops to smell the roses and take pictures or video along the way would be great.

Trans America-August-October

Created: June 4, 2025

Beginning Aug. 4, 2025. I’m an experienced bike tour rider, male, married, 74 yrs., politically liberal. This is my 3rd coast to coast ride in the US. Starting in Florence, OR, following the mapped ACA Trans America route. Expect mileage to vary, but average about 55 mi/day. About one rest day per week. Combination of camping, motels, Warm Showers. Normally one hot meal in a cafe or restaurant per day. This will be a tour, not a race. I will be stopping to meet and greet people, enjoy the sights large and small, dip into local culture and history. Would love to have like-minded riding companions for part or all of this trip.

Riding Partner For My First Trans Am in 2026

Created: May 18, 2025

Leaving Yorktown, VA April 27th 2026. Hope to find a nice lady who likes to have fun to share the Adventures. I’m 61 and a Medical Professional. I have been a cyclist most of my life. Stopped for a while but getting back in great shape.
Will be ready to average 60 miles a day. If you can keep up with that pace then we should finish the Trail by end of July at latest. Planning 1 day a week off on average. I love Music, History, and talking to people.
Will be camping mostly, but like to play it by ear. So most the fun is the improvising decisions that make the Adventure possible.
Would like to stay on the Trans American Trail as much as possible, but still have fun. Will bring all the usual tech, but will try to use only Adventure Maps as much as I can.
If you can play a musical instrument that would be great. But you don’t have to be anything but yourself and willing to take your time and have fun. Nothing is in stone except it’s all about having fun and not quitting.

bicycle companion wanted……preferably female.

Created: May 13, 2025

I am Phil, fit a 72 year old male bicyclist from Sydney, Australia. On different trips, I have cycled over half way around the world. I am looking for a bicycle companion, preferably a female, to join me in exactly 12 months from now, in May of 2026. But I would also consider a male. The trip will be mostly camping. I intend to bicycle north from Quesnel in British Columbia, Canada to Tuktoyactuk, 3,132 kilometres at the top of the continent. I began this trip 2 years back in Seattle and rode 620 kilometres to Quesnel( I got a car lift for one section). But way north the Alaskan highway got closed by bushfires. So I went back to Australia. Thanks, Phil

new to backpacking

Created: July 21, 2025

Hi, my name’s June and I’m a 70 year old woman looking for some company on an overnight of 1 or 2 nights. I haven’t bikepacked before, though I have all the packing gear, and would like to take a short trip, probably to the San Juans as I live in Bellingham, with someone also older and fairly new (or not) to this fun way of enjoying life. I’m in good shape and bike to work most days. I’ve also done a lot of camping, both car and backpacking, in my life so I’m good with a tent and simple necessities. I’m not going to be fast uphill and with a loaded bike maybe even push a time or two? I have no idea. I own a gravel bike so can certainly go off road. Let me know if you’re interested and we can chat further. Thanks.

Short Gravel Bikepacking trips in Oregon

Created: June 4, 2025

I’ve done several 2- and 3-night gravel bike packing trips based out of Portland, Oregon. I’ve ridden to the coast a couple times, several large sections of the Oregon Timber Trail, and also around the Mt. Hood region. I’m planning on doing a 2 or 3 night circumnavigation of Mt. Hood this summer mostly on gravel and some trails. Just throwing out the invite for this or any other similar trip if someone else is looking for company on the trail/road. I’m a seasoned, relatively strong rider but am happy to join someone with less or more experience. I’m fine with riding together or regrouping while on route due to different riding paces. Let me know! – Scott
